AL UDEID AIR BASE, Qatar — The Blood Transshipment Center at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, provides blood to more than 30 forward operating locations in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. In 2015, the center shipped nearly 23,000 units of blood to nine countries, including Iraq and Afghanistan.
